Why Hanging Ear Drip Coffee Is the Fastest-Growing Single-Se
The global single-serve coffee market is growing at 8.4% CAGR — and hanging ear drip filters are at the center of that growth, because they solve a problem capsules and pods never could:
Zero equipment investment for the end consumer — no Nespresso machine, no pod subscription
Retail shelf-ready from day one — compact, lightweight, stackable, and visually merchandisable
Full brew control — grind coarseness, water temperature, and pour speed are all in the user's hands
Specialty-coffee compatible — the open-top filter format lets premium roasts express their full flavor profile, unlike pressurized pod systems
For coffee brands, cafés, and importers: this is the format that converts specialty coffee drinkers into repeat buyers.

Why Non-Woven Fabric — Not Filter Paper
Most hanging ear filters on the market use standard filter paper. Cailyn's stock filters use thermally bonded non-woven fabric — and the difference shows up in your cup.
|
Property |
Non-Woven Fabric (Cailyn) |
Standard Filter Paper |
|
Flow rate |
Faster — larger pore structure |
Slower — tighter fiber weave |
|
Oil retention |
Lower — coffee oils pass through freely |
Higher — traps more oils |
|
Cup body |
Fuller, richer mouthfeel |
Cleaner, brighter cup |
|
Wet strength |
High — maintains shape under sustained pour |
Moderate — can soften over long brew |
|
Chemical binders |
None — thermally bonded |
May use trace binders depending on grade |
|
Best for roast |
Medium–dark roasts, espresso blends |
Light–medium roasts, pour-over style |
Result: Non-woven filters deliver a bolder, more full-bodied cup — consistently preferred in Asian and European taste tests for darker roast profiles.
How to Use — Brewing Guide
Step 1 — Open the filter bag, remove one hanging ear filter, and pull the two ear flaps outward until they're flat.
Step 2 — Hook the ear flaps over the rim of your mug. The filter should hang centered inside the cup without touching the bottom.
Step 3 — Add 10–12g of medium-ground coffee into the filter pouch.
Step 4 — Pre-wet the coffee with a small pour of 88–92°C hot water (about 30ml). Wait 30 seconds for the bloom.
Step 5 — Slowly pour the remaining water (150–200ml total) in a steady circular motion over the coffee bed.
Step 6 — Total brew time: 3–4 minutes. Remove the filter, dispose, and enjoy.
Pro tip: For a stronger cup, use 12–15g of coffee and reduce total water to 150ml.

FAQ
Q1: Is this a stock item? Can I order without a minimum quantity?
Yes. This is a ready-to-ship stock product. There is no MOQ — you can order as few as 1 bag (50 pcs). Bulk carton pricing is available from 5,000 pcs.
Q2: Is the non-woven material food-safe and free from chemicals?
Yes. Our non-woven fabric is thermally bonded — no chemical binders, no glue, no bleaching agents. It complies with FDA 21 CFR and EU 10/2011 food contact standards and is completely tasteless and odorless.
Q3: What cup sizes does the 7.5 × 9 cm filter fit?
